China: Seaweed from the greenhouse

Recently, a one film greenhouse up to 11 meters high was built in Tianjin, China, by Beijing Kingpeng workers. The greenhouse area is 4576 ㎡, and will be used to grow seaweed in the future.

Cover material on the roof of the greenhouse is a new generation PO film, and has a high light transparency, while the side wall is covered by polycarbonate. Considering the greenhouse is located near the sea, the structure must has very good wind load and anti-corrosion properties.

The designer tries to create the most suitable microclimate conditions for seaweed. As a result, the yield of seaweed in this greenhouse is expected to be 25% higher than in a normal greenhouse.
