"Strawberry production in Dandong, China surges 30%"

“Thanks to stable weather conditions, strawberry production in Dandong has increased by 30% compared with last year. The new sales season will kick off in December and last through to around June next year. The market performance in the new season is expected to be better than last year,” Gao Wenwen of Xinliguniao Strawberry Growing Cooperative said.

“Last year was the key year for our strawberries’ market expansion across China. With their superior taste and outstanding quality compared with other production areas, strawberries from Dandong are now appreciated by traders nationwide. Although the cultivation costs in our area are higher than other production areas, the consistently good quality and high consumer popularity have laid a solid foundation for better sales in the new season.”
