Flandria market information:

"Belgian cucumber, courgette volumes dropping, so prices rise"

White and red cabbage are typical autumn vegetables. There was a substantial supply of these products at the beginning of autumn in Belgium. This meant prices fell slightly.

There is a clear supply of tomatoes, at sharply falling prices. TOV are more expensive than loose tomatoes. There is an ample supply of bell peppers. This high volume is causing prices to decrease significantly here too. Chicory is in the spotlight at Belgian supermarkets. Prices are on the rise. This is due to the cooler weather, which is set to continue.

When it comes to cauliflower, here too, there is a clear supply with falling prices. Cucumber and courgette volumes are decreasing, and prices are increasing. Aubergines are selling for more consumer-friendly prices, compared to last week. The end of the season is looming in Belgium for this vegetable.

Broccoli prices are fairly stable. Celeriac volumes are low, so auction prices are solid.
