India: Syngenta invests $2mn for Andhra Pradesh research centre

Global agriculture firm Syngenta on Tuesday inaugurated a research centre in Andhra Pradesh with an initial investment of $2mn.

With $13.5bn in sales in 2018, Syngenta is one of the world's largest crop protection producers and seeds business companies. Syngenta invests $1.3bn per year in R&D globally.

Erik Fyrwald, CEO of Syngenta, on Tuesday inaugurated a Syngenta Innovation and Learning Centre at Bhimadole in Eluru, the company said in a statement.
