Over the last few years, the Sival has vastly increased its offer and has expanded its development at an international level with agtech as its common thread. The Sival will be pursuing its dynamic strategy throughout this 34th edition.

The Sival is increasing its show area again in order to create room for new exhibitors.
Its international development is materialising with a pavilion for Italian exhibitors as part of the partnership with the Italian Macfrut show, launched at the Sival 2019. The first day of the show will be highlighted by the Vegepolys Valley business convention, the VIBE (Vegepolys International Business Event) with a BtoB programme of targeted appointments. Some new foreign delegations and also international buyers will be present at the show in order to increase the international business opportunities for the Sival's exhibitors.
Agtech, featuring all the latest trends for development in agriculture, will be one of the major recurring threads with even more innovations in the digital, robotics and decision-making tool sectors. Spearheading these trends will be the Sival Innovation and Agreen Startup Competitions. They will be taking place over the show’s three days. The former will be rewarding businesses for their innovations in equipment or specialist plant production services. The latter invites candidates to participate in a 48-hour innovation marathon.
New for 2020, a convivial and networking evening that will take place on 14 January at the Centre de Congrès. It will also provide the opportunity to discuss agtech challenges.
The Sival will be renewing its forward-looking Fruit 2050 event. This second edition will be focusing on the impact of climate change on food production, with two highlights :
- The Vegepolys Valley and the GIS Fruits Symposium: "Fruit production facing up to climate change: anticipating today in order to act tomorrow".
- The CTIFL Fruit Production Forum: "Will climate change alter our arboricultural practices?"
At the Sival, there will also be numerous conferences and speeches that encourage participants to explore new paths in order to evolve. These speeches aim to provide visitors with the keys to a modern and renewable agriculture throughout the whole specialist plant production sector.
