17th June 2019 was a historic day for Dalmonte Guido and Vittorio Vivai, as they inaugurated the new 5,000 sqm greenhouse that will enable the company to produce other types of plants, explore new potential markets and have greater control over all production phases.

"We built this new facility also thanks to Regione Emilia Romagna's Regional Development Plan. We are proud to grow on our territory," explained Nicola Dalmonte.
Every year, Dalmonte produces 1 million rootstocks, 500 thousand fruit plants, 300 thousand kiwifruit and hazelnut trees. These figures are expected to grow thanks to the new greenhouse.
"We currently export 25% of our production to 40 countries. But now we have increased our potential and are able to produce plants such as pomegranate as well," added director Roberto Savini.
Ten new people have been hired thanks to the new greenhouse, so there are now 70 employees. The Mayor of Brisighella Massimiliano Pederzoli, that of Faenza Giovanni Malpezzi and Regione Emilia Romagna president Stefano Bonaccini were all pleased about it.

"The Dalmonte family is known not only for being very active on our territory, but also for its entrepreneurship. It is pleasing to see how the funds from the Regional Development Plan are used by companies to develop and grow," stated Bonaccini.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the morning continued with a tour of the facility. The greenhouse covers almost 5,000 sqm and boasts basal heating, cooling openings and computerized fertigation and irrigation solutions.

One of the company's main strengths is the micropropagation laboratory. In addition, great attention has been put into the various plant acclimatization phases, with water spraying systems to saturate the environment with humidity.
