Many refugees in Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan come from a farming background but with a lack of space and high water scarcity traditional agriculture is not possible. Thanks to hydroponics, they are able to resort to their former occupations. The UN Refugees Agency (UNHCR) in Jordan shares a video about this project that they have been piloting over the last two years. Ahmed, who was a farmer back in Syria explains how the hydroponics system works.
