A second knowledge transfer field event was organized by East-West Seed as a part of the Vegetable Capacity Building (VegCAP) on June 12th and 13th 2019 at Kawt Lai Village in Hpa An Township, Kayin State. During these two days, practical demonstrations and workshops on improved vegetable production took place. A total of over 900 people attended the event, including farmers from nearby villages and (agronomy) students of Hpa An SAI.

The event was formally opened in the early morning on June 12th by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation. During the event, five knowledge transfer sessions were attended rotation-wise: mulching, seedling production, trellising, pruning and the functions of fertilizers. East-West Seed trainers successfully organized and facilitated the knowledge transfer workshops.
