The first open day of ISI Sementi in Sicily took place over the past few days. Numerous producers, traders and nursery gardeners attended.
A moment during the open day
As many already know, ISI Sementi is the creator of varieties that, over the years, have become true brands, such as the famous "Pixel" midi-plum.
The event was held between Vittoria and Racate in the Ragusa province, an area that specializes in greenhouse cultivation.

Many varieties were showcased, with a particular focus on midi-plum tomatoes.

The company's claim is "dove c'è plum, c'è ISI" (where there's plum tomatoes, there's ISI"), as explained by chief marketing officer Renzo Lazzarin.
Pixel F1
"There are few products of reference in retail and Pixel is one of them. As the market evolved, we needed to widen the range, so we have diversified our supply with Proxy and ISI 82315. This was done to meet the cultivation needs of various cycles and production conditions while maintaining the aroma intact."

"We also introduced ISI 82411 and ISI 802756, i.e. yellow and orange midi-plums, and given more room to small-sized specialties such as cherry and plum tomatoes with fruits weighing 15-20 gr. The range includes yellow plum Dolly and orange plum Blondy, brown Black Pearl tomatoes and streaked varieties Tigro and Melange. All these are sold under the 'Gocce di Sapore' brand."

"Then there are pink tomatoes, sold under the 'Pomo Rosa' brand. They have the very trendy almost creamy umami flavor. The brand includes the Rosamunda beefsteak and Rosalinda ribbed varieties."
