The Beijing 2019 Horti Expo recently opened in Yanqing, Beijing, with a brilliant opening ceremony. The Vegetable Garden became one of the main attractions during the expo. This was the first time in the history of the expo that vegetables were displayed on their own in an external exposition area. There were more than 123 different kinds of vegetables on display.
The Vegetable Garden was located close to Gate 6. To the east was a newly constructed greenhouse, and to the west was a waterfall and flower garden scenery. The surface area of the Vegetable Garden was 3.6 hectares, including 0.45 hectare of covered terrain and 3.15 hectare of open terrain. There were 8 great projects on display in the inside and outdoor sections.
One of the indoor projects was an aeroponic installation. The indoor section showcased different cultivation methods including aeroponics and hydroponics.
