First white celery of the year auctioned at BelOrta

BelOrta has auctioned the first white celery of the year. The grower is Diederik Dockx, and Lejeune from Sint-Katelijne-Waver in Belgium bought the first crates.

Benny Vanderborght (Lejeune) & Kelly Van Dessel (BelOrta)

White celery is now available at BelOrta. These Belgian classics are available up until the Christmas period. The product is cultivated for about 50% in greenhouses, and 50% from the open field. Last year, around 1,371,000 pieces of white celery were sold.
