US: Monitoring E. coli presence in water through drones

Recently, an increasing number of growers has been using drones to control and monitor their crops. Now, the US Department of Agriculture is utilising them to monitor the water quality. Specifically, drones sample irrigation ponds for E. coli. This method could provide growers with a new device thus allowing them to avoid spraying potentially harmful bacteria on crops.
