The UK and Israel are to sign an agreement, meant to ensure continuity in trade relations after Britain leaves the EU.
Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox and Israel’s Economy and Industry Minister Eli Cohen will sign the accord in Tel Aviv, the British Embassy in Israel and the ministry said in separate announcements.
Bloomberg.com reports how the UK is Israel’s biggest trade partner in Europe. Bilateral commerce reached $11 billion in 2018, a 15 percent increase over the previous year. The UK reached a similar agreement with Switzerland last week, allowing it to continue trade without any additional tariffs.
