New book highlights benefits of technology in the greenhouse

Recently the book ‘Greenhouse horticulture – Technology for optimal crop production’ was presented in Wageningen. The authors Cecilia Stanghellini, Bert Van ‘t Ooster and Ep Heuvelink received their copy of the book from Mike Jacobs, director of Wageningen Academic Publishers.

When you can modify the environment, you need to strike a balance between the costs and benefits of technology. ‘Greenhouse horticulture’ will help you do that. It gives examples of how to make 'optimal' choices about technology. You can read about sustainable management of shoot and root environment, as well as the pros and cons of vertical farming. Before you think this book is about high-tech greenhouses only, the processes addressed in this book apply to any kind of greenhouse.
