"Seed business is about trust. If you look at a tomato seed, a bad tomato seed might be very cheap. A good tomato seed is high-tech and involves a lot of knowledge, but they all look the same. For a farmer to see the difference is very hard, so the essence of a brand is trust." This says Bert van der Feltz, CEO of the East West Seed Group, in a video produced by VNU Exhibitions.
