"By using foil, gutters last longer"
“When cleaning during crop rotation the gutters are under a lot of pressure. This can damage the coating and is not something you would want to happen”, Piet van Oord of Oerlemans Plastic explains. Under the name of OPS gutter protection film, Oerlemans Plastic presented a foil to cover gutters in horticulture during the GreenTech.

"By using foil, gutters last longer. Besides this, it saves time, water and cleaning supplies that are needed to keep the gutters clean. The foil counters the growth of algae and unwanted roots and also reduces the transfer of viruses and diseases. With the ideal of using less crop protection, this is an important subject for fruiting crops as well.”
