Jørgen Vestjens, Director of VITAM Bedrijfscatering, brought three full crates of the tasty tomatoes to primary school Drie Koningen in De Meern. The fresh tomatoes were received with enthusiasm by the children of group 1 & 2 (De Beren) and teacher Michaele allowed them to enjoy the healthy snack in class.
Kwekerij Osdorp
Jeroen and Jeroen, founders of Kwekerij Osdorp, joined VITAM in 2009. During the Dutch growing season they provide VITAM restaurants with fresh vine tomatoes that are used in dishes every day. "When the greenhouses 'blow up' in good weather, we make our own ketchup from the surplus and also turn them into dried tomatoes."
Kwekerij Osdorp is a social farm where they employ homeless people, people with addictions and the disabled.
