Flynth provides guidance to students at World Horti Center:

"Students interested in business community sharing its knowledge"

Since October 2017, Flynth has been a participant in the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk, an innovation center for the international greenhouse horticulture sector. As a knowledge partner and advisor, Flynth also supports horticultural students here. Flynth advisor Marcel Scholtes tells more about this cooperation.

The World Horti Center (WHC) is the heart of the horticultural sector. Business, education and government all converge here. The aim is to ensure that the international greenhouse horticulture sector can contribute to the welfare of people worldwide.

Knowledge stand
Flynth has a permanent stand at the WHC, where a Flynth adviser is present every day, as a point of contact for visitors. This fixed location opens doors to share knowledge and set up new initiatives. One of these initiatives is the collaboration with the Horti Technics & Management intermediate vocational education of the Lentiz Education Group.

Marcel: "Education managers indicated that their third-year students would benefit greatly from support with the financial aspects of their future profession. Because many of these students have the ambition to become a horticultural greenhouse entrepreneur or manager."

Advisor lecturing
This offered opportunities for Flynth to introduce these entrepreneurial students to FlynthVision. This is an online tool for making and monitoring of exploitation and liquidity budgets.

Marcel: "In my first guest lecture, I introduced students to FlynthVision. In a personal online environment they can import their own investment calculation and make future exploitation and cash flows insightful. This means that they can start working with financial issues themselves. The teacher and I watch from the background to guide the students."

Learning young
The students are enthusiastic about the support from Flynth. Marcel: "We have noticed that students like to work with FlynthVision. They find it interesting that someone from the business community comes to share his knowledge. It is good that they already acquire specific knowledge about budgeting and liquidity control during their training. The chances of succeeding in their future horticulture business increases significantly."

On good terms
The collaboration with the Horti Technics & Management education is a great start for the activities of Flynth in the WHC.

Marcel: "It is also valuable to contribute in this area to an innovative greenhouse horticulture sector with our participation in the World Horti Center. In our opinion this is one of the many projects that Flynth will concentrate on in the coming years. We like to take our responsibility as accountants and consultants in the greenhouse horticulture sector."
