Vincente Fox speaks about Mexican marijuana at Cannabis Expo:

Will legalized marijuana give a new impulse to Mexico's economy?

Last Saturday, Mexico's former president Vincente Fox was speaking at the Southwest Cannabis Convention and Expo in Phoenix Arizona. Fox, also a former Coca-Cola executive, answered questions at a news conference and then held an hour long talk. Besides lobbing insults at Trump, the ex-presidente also had a lot to say about cannabis legalization, NAFTA, guns, and more.

Ray Stern at The Phoenix New Times summed up the 11 most memorable quotes and moments from the presser, speech, and on-stage Q&A with Channel 12 reporter Brahm Resnik.

In the interview Fox commented on the plans of Mexico's current president Enrique Peña Nieto, who legalized medical cannabis in June on a federal level.

"Following next year's elections, he said, regulations will start to be formed that could create a medical-marijuana industry, complete with dispensaries and so much cultivation, the product will be exported to the United States. He assured the SWCC Expo crowd that it would be the good stuff, acknowledging that "the quality of cannabis grown in Mexico is awful."
