Europe: Chalk season in full swing

In Europe the shading and chalking season is in full swing. Between all activities, Dutch contractor Gert-Jan van Hattem tries to fly his drone. This picture was made at the greenhouse of Rob van Rijckevorsel in Breda. It took a little more than two hours to coat this 4 ha greenhouse.

Since last year, van Hattem's company HPW operates a new machine with a pump capacity of 120-130 bar. Gert-Jan: "Because of this high pressure, there is a maximum output per machine and we can chalk non stop, especially with products with a lower concentration. Then we can reach a capacity of 1.5-2 ha per machine."
