Daily light integral (DLI) with/without far-red for lettuce

Lighting Strategies: Increasing biomass of lettuce with far-red

Heliospectra has made results available of new research that was carried out to understand how different light intensities that sum up to equal DLI is effecting growth of lettuce. Earlier trials without far-red had showed similar results with aspects of crop production between the different ways to distribute the light over a day. In the new experiment it was observed that the lettuce grown with far-red was larger and had higher biomass than lettuce grown without far-red.
