Romanian growers see higher yields thanks to biostimulants

Romanian farmers can now boost crop yields and profits thanks to three new Arysta LifeScience biostimulants: Multoleo, Zeal and Biozyme, now available in the Romanian market. Arysta BioStimulants portfolio is also complemented by Siapton, from Isagro, for the upcoming season.

“We decided to invest in expanding our biostimulants portfolio because we noticed that yields and profits generated by conventional products have reached a plateau in Romania,” says Richard Matei, Arysta LifeScience Area Manager for Balkan countries. "Our new biostimulants help crops thrive during times of climatic stress, and complement our existing herbicide products Pantera and Select to improve yields and profits. Multoleo and Zeal are based on natural active ingredients derived from seaweed and, like all Arysta products, they are backed by our extensive technical expertise."

The largest crops in Romania are corn, with 1.7 million hectares planted annually, sunflower and oilseed rape, which together cover 1.5 million hectares. Multoleo is designed for oilseed rape and sugar beet, stimulating plant nutrition pathways and the uptake of soil nutrients. Zeal supports the nutritional status of corn during crucial development stages to increase yield establishment. Biozyme is a growth stimulator and plant extract that supports key physiological plant processes to generate higher yields, improve quality and increase the uniformity of fruits. Siapton provides plant nutritional balance for a wide range of crops. Both Multoleo and Zeal are based on Physio Activator Technology.

"In the last two months, we have met more than 2,000 Romanian farmers to share the promise our new biostimulants offer," adds Matei. "The response has been very good, and we look forward to working with our Romanian customers as they begin to reap the benefits of these innovative products."
