Top Control, the company established by Michael Saltuari in Bolzano, specialising in automation solutions and food industry systems, has been growing quite a lot over the past few years. We visited the facility last week and, in addition to the founder and CEO, we talked to sales manager Johann Strozzega and marketing manager Ruth Bauer.

"Employees have gone from 20 to over 60 in just a few years. Our exports increased exponentially and we now work with over 20 countries."

"What's unique is the simplicity of our equipment regarding both mechanical components and software. Simplicity means reliability and ease of use. Thanks to this, the demand for precision scales was rather high, as they are used a lot by companies packaging small fruits or table grapes," explained Saltuari.

Everything is designed and assembled at the company's facility. Only mechanical components are manufactured by external suppliers. Everything is developed according to clients' demands or from ideas that can improve the production process and make it more efficient.
"Thanks to the growth of the past few years, we are thinking about a new facility where we could work better," reports Strozzega.

One element that's being appreciated by clients all over the world is the "Top Control Academy", i.e. the training carried out at the Terlano facility or at the client's facility. Operators from a Hong Kong company took part a few days ago.

Among the software developed by Top Control, and now popular all over the world, is the Fruitmanager - a solution for the automatic management of production and traceability.
Storagemove is for handling warehouses using lasers. It provides the logistic advantage of an automatic warehouse at a tenth of the cost of a conventional storage unit.
StatisticsWeights is a software solution that collects production data, elaborates statistics and analyses productivity.
