New train service connects Rotterdam and Antwerp to Spain

Since January 23, intermodal operator Shuttlewise has a new train service between RSC Rotterdam and Antwerpen Mainhub. This service currently has 4 departures per week.

Because of the connection with the Portshuttle in Rotterdam and the LORO Shuttle in Antwerp also the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp are now connected.

Main motivation for this service are the direct ongoing connections to Spain using the network of Belgium operator IFB. Result is the first connection from Rotterdam to Spain where the company reaches 4 destinations: Barcelona, Tarragona, Irun and Madrid. From Madrid there are possibilities to reach Sevilla, Murcia, San Roque and Valencia.
