New solutions enable potted herb and babyleaf production on aquaponics

Leafy greens, baby leaf and potted herbs are a hot item at the moment, especially when you can grow them in an hydroponic setting. In order to simplify the growth of them on water, Viscon Hydroponics is introducing a completely new approach to grow potted herbs and babyleafs in a deep water pond.

For the cultivation of potted herbs on water, Viscon has designed a holder that gives place to a low cultivation pot with a Waterwick cord. The cord can pull water from the pond and will provide the plant with water whenever it wants to drink. This prevents the roots from being in direct contact with the water.

Another new innovation from Viscon is the new tray for Babyleaf production on water. The tray matches the hydroponic float and enables automation; the tray can automatically be filled with a regular trayfiller and then seeded with a standard seeder line.

The only thing that you then need still need is a good marketing program, and also for this, Viscon's Retail Packaging company offers several innovative packaging solutions.

These fresh produce packagings help add value to your product and can tell a story, convey a message and help your product stand out. Besides marketing value, these packagings help create longevity of your product in shelves. Water reservoirs provide your product with water in stores, but with the consumer at home as well.
