COBRA Green workshop:

CAN (AB): Getting a handle on your greenhouse financials

An upcoming workshop aims to help greenhouse growers familiarize themselves with a new software package.

“Cobra (Commercial Business Return Analyzer) GREEN is a financial software developed by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF) to help greenhouse vegetable growers better understand the numbers behind their business,” says Dustin Morton, commercial horticulture specialist, AF. “In this workshop, growers will learn how to use this software to help make their business more profitable and to better position themselves for lending opportunities.”

The two-day workshop is being offered:
  • February 15 and 16, 2017, at the Agriculture Building, 5030 – 50 Street, Lacombe
  • March 8 and 9, 2017, at the Red Hat Co-op, 809 Broadway Ave NE, Redcliff
The cost is $10/person + GST and includes lunches for both days. To register, call 1-800-387-6030. The registration deadline for Lacombe is February 10, and for Redcliff is March 3.
