This workshop has been specially organised for young scientists working in the field of biological control. It focuses on important topics determining the successful implementation of biological control products:
- Markets & product registration
- Methods in research on ecology, detection & mode-of-action
- Screening strategies & efficacy testing
- Lab to greenhouse transfer & application
- Industrial mass production & quality assessment of products
Many young scientists showed their interest in the workshop and at the end 18 participants have been selected based on their scientific research background and/or experience. Participants are coming from The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Lithuania, Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Austria, Colombia, Bangladesh and China.
During the 3-days workshop the facilities of two BIOCOMES commercial partners will be visited: e-nema and Bayer Crop Science Biologics in Germany.
