Biocomes workshop:

How to develop biological control products?

BIOCOMES partners are organizing a 3-day workshop on how to successfully develop biological control products. The workshop will take place from 17 – 19 January at e-nema company in Germany.

This workshop has been specially organised for young scientists working in the field of biological control. It focuses on important topics determining the successful implementation of biological control products:

  • Markets & product registration
  • Methods in research on ecology, detection & mode-of-action
  • Screening strategies & efficacy testing
  • Lab to greenhouse transfer & application
  • Industrial mass production & quality assessment of products

Many young scientists showed their interest in the workshop and at the end 18 participants have been selected based on their scientific research background and/or experience. Participants are coming from The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Lithuania, Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Austria, Colombia, Bangladesh and China.

During the 3-days workshop the facilities of two BIOCOMES commercial partners will be visited: e-nema and Bayer Crop Science Biologics in Germany.
