March 1-3, Osh

Fact-finding agricultural mission to Kyrgyzstan

Osh is the second largest city in Kyrgyzstan (after Bishkek) located in the Fergana valley in the south of the country.

The Fergana valley divided between Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan has long served as a major trading hub in Central Asia and was a major market along the Silk Road that linked Asia with Europe.

The Fergana valley is a densely populated region and is one of the largest agricultural producers in Central Asia. It is also a very promising region with fertile soil highly suitable for fruit and vegetables production as well as cattle breeding.

The 13th Fergana Valley International Agricultural Exhibition “Silk Road 2017” is organized by the Agribusiness Association of Kyrgyzstan “Jer Azygy”. It is one of the largest trade events in the Fergana valley that brings together international manufacturers of various agricultural equipment/machinery and regional dealers from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The exhibition focuses on agricultural machinery and equipment (harvesters, tractors, etc.), seeds, fertilizers, greenhouses, drip irrigation systems, dairy, poultry and animal feed and provides a platform for establishing contacts with local producers engaged in the above-mentioned sectors.

If your company is active in such areas as supply of agricultural equipment and machinery, poultry and dairy farming, animal feed, seeds, greenhouses, fruit and vegetable production, agricultural consultancy and is interested in joining the Fact-finding mission to Osh, you can express your interest by sending an email at ALM-EA@minbuza.nl before 20 January 2017.
