Russia: Two hectares of greenhouses to be constructed in Far East

One of the largest state owned farms in the Sakhalin region, “Teplichny”, is making preparations for launching two hectares of new greenhouses, the press office of the head of the region announced.

The region’s governor, Oleg Kozhemyako, acquainted himself with the progress of the new greenhouse complex construction. He visited workshops equipped with modern devices for washing and packaging vegetables.

At present, this state owned farm is one of the regional largest producers of potatoes, cabbages, cucumbers, beets and tomatoes. According to the head of “Teplichny” farm, in 2015, the enterprise was significantly upgraded and the regional government set a task to put in operation 8 hectares of greenhouses by the end of the next year.
