Australia: The quest for improved wholesale price reporting
Horticulture Innovation Australia (HIA) has engaged consultants GHD to explore opportunities for an improved wholesale price reporting system. This study has been commissioned in response to findings from the 2015 Independent Review of the Horticulture Code of Conduct, which found the lack of accurate and timely pricing information to be an ongoing problem for the horticultural industry.
The study will investigate technology options and data collection methods and techniques which may help to improve the accuracy, timeliness and overall usefulness of market price information.
GHD is seeking feedback from growers, wholesalers, retailers as well as market service providers as part of the study.
