The Cucumber and Pepper Growers' Day, which attracts up to 100 delegates annually, is a forum for growers to exchange ideas and discuss new and emerging technologies with other growers, scientists, fresh produce technologists and horticultural suppliers.
Organised by the Cucumber Growers Association, Pepper Technology Group and AHDB Horticulture, the event will once again be taking place at the Waltham Abbey Marriott Hotel.
Topics to be covered during this year’s event will include lighting in cucumbers and peppers, high wire production and an update on current disease work funded by AHDB Horticulture. Water recirculation and treatments to allow successful recirculation with a focus on suitable equipment will also feature.
Further presentations in 2016 include updates from Great British Chefs, and an introduction to the new AHDB Horticulture Biopesticides project AMBER. The CGA AGM will also be taking place which all members are encouraged to attend.
