Russia: Greenhouses to provide year-round production in Polar region

Greenhouse complexes with an area of 9 hectares will be built in the next 5 years in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the Russian region located close to the Polar circle.

The facilities are designed to develop all-season crop production in a climate of eternal frost.

The works at the construction sites of these unique greenhouse complexes situated in Gubkinsk, Salekhard, Muravlenko, Nadym, Noyabrsk and Novy Urengoi will be funded from the regional budget, the press office of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District’s administration told Construction.RU on Monday.
