GT Holland develops gutter with 16L water capacity:

Improved aluminum gutter for polyethylene greenhouses

Especially for Polyethylene greenhouses, GT Holland has engineered and designed a new gutter system with significantly more water storage capacities, an integrated condensation channel and a higher load capability. Aad Brabander of GT Holland: "The GT gutter has the properties of a steel gutter, but is made of aluminum and is therefore more suitable for polytunnels too."

More water transportation
"The biggest difference with the existing gutters is the large capacity for water transportation," says Brabander. "With this gutter we still don’t have the same high storage amount of a steel gutter, but it’s already a huge step forward compared to current aluminum gutters for plastic greenhouses. In addition, condensation water can now be collected separated from the rainwater, thanks to the integrated condensation channel. This will result in less humid and wet crops in the greenhouse too."

Roof washer
Thanks to the large static values the gutter can handle a large load downwards and sideways. Brabander: "So you can put a roof washer on it - but it can also be used in areas with a risk for heavy snow load."

The basic design of the model comes from Adecco Holland and is already thirty years old. Brabander engineered the model for both European and worldwide greenhouse construction. That was a requirement for Brabander. "The gutter is therefore not only suitable for heavy snow loads in cold areas but because of the high water transport capacity it is also a solution in tropical climates with a lot of rainfall."
