Landmark Plastic’s new interlocking surface tiles add stability, comfort, durability and ease

For more than 30 years, Landmark Plastic has been making life easier and less chaotic for its customers by offering solutions to their everyday challenges, most notably its wide range of plastic containers, trays, packaging, and growing systems. And it’s through that deep understanding of what they need that has led to the development of its newest product: Interlocking Surface Tiles.

Made from a special formulation of recycled tires and polypropylene resin, this new interlocking system is designed to be one of the longest-lasting, highest valued recycled surface systems available -- providing safe and comfortable surfaces for production areas, benches, supply rooms, event floors, display pads, walkways, entrance areas and more. Making it the perfect surface alternative.

“Historically, we’ve been focused on addressing the challenges our customers face day-to-day. That focus has resulted in an average of 25 new product introductions each year for the past 5 years to address those needs,” smiles Landmark President and COO, Steven Merzweiler. “While obviously not a container, our new interlocking system was created using the same approach of listening to customers’ issues. And in this case, they were anxious to find an alternative to their slippery, uncomfortable surfaces…which we were happy to overcome with our Interlocking Surface Tiles” concludes Merzweiler.

Manufactured as 15.75x15.75x0.75” interlocking tiles, they're easy to clip together and install by hand, without the need for special tools. Most notably, the tiles provide stable surfaces even in typically slippery and puddle-filled areas – especially with its built-in ¼” drainage channel designed specifically to eliminate puddles during washing.

There are two versions of the product available, one made with recycled tires of Landmark's Interlocking Surface Tiles, which is available in black. The other version is made with its polypropylene equivalent, which can be produced in whatever color customers want to complement his/her operation. And since the tiles are lightweight, unlike conventional rubber mats, they're easy to clean and maintain. Plus, they’re chemical resistant and withstand heavy loads.
