Australia: Tasmania joins NSW in growing medicinal marijuana

Tasmania is set to grow cannabis for use in medicinal marijuana trials, under a deal with the New South Wales Government.

The move comes almost two months after the Federal Government announced they would legalise the growing of marijuana for medical purposes and a day after Australian company AusCann announced they will begin planting trial crops of marijuana on Christmas Island ahead of a planned listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in early 2016.
