Malaysia: Vegetable farmers eye greenhouse farming to up production

Vegetable farmers in Sibu, Malaysia are hoping to increase their production through greenhouse farming, and are hoping the government will help in their endeavor.

Chairman of Sibu Vegetable Planters Association (SVPA) Tang Liung Poh hoped the government would help farmers here to start the greenhouse farming.

He told reporters this prior to attending a seminar on ‘advancement of agriculture and how the government can help farmers in their development plan’ here yesterday.

Greenhouse farming, Tang said, could help farmers increase their production and raise their incomes.
