US (MO): New political action committee forms to push medical marijuana measure

Missouri’s most influential marijuana advocacy organizations are now pulling behind a medical marijuana initiative, after polls revealed Missouri voters may not approve a recreational measure.

The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) and Show-Me Cannabis are behind New Approach Missouri, a new political action committee seeking to legalize the drug for medicinal use in 2016.

Show-Me Cannabis polled voters back before the November 2014 midterms and found a recreational measure would fail by a vote of 51 percent to 45 percent and it still is not polling well.
