US (NH): Medical marijuana cultivation site could be planted in Peterborough
A medical marijuana cultivation center may soon sprout up in Peterborough. The cultivation center would be in the Brookstone Business Center and be used only for growing. It would be run by workers for Prime Alternative Treatment Center, which the N.H. Department of Health and Human Services has approved to run the medical marijuana dispensary for Region 2.
This zone serves Merrimack and Hillsborough counties. Prime Alternative Treatment Center has proposed to open the dispensary for this region in Merrimack.
The Peterborough center would primarily make marijuana infused treatments — also known as MITs — such as edible products or oils along with plants, according to John Glowik, owner of the Prime Alternative Treatment Center.
Patients would not be able to pick up their dosages there and anything produced there will be used only at the Merrimack dispensary, he said.
