Australia: Chrysco Flowers to return to Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show

Chrysco Flowers is making its big return to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show today. After a 12-year absence, Australia’s largest chrysanthemum grower plans to “show its face again” in a display celebrating its 30-year growing history in Australia.

Owners Cor and Garda Slykerman have created a 12m x 7m stand — the biggest in the hall — which includes photos from the years of Chrysco’s history. “When you do something you do it as well as you possibly can,” Cor said.

Cor said MIFGS was established to bring together growers and florists from across Australia. “It’s absolutely still helpful for the industry, but in the past few years, growers have let themselves down by not participating.”
