Following the success of its first two webinars, Haifa Group will broadcast its third webinar - in a series of four - on Wednesday 4th March, 2015. The title of this online seminar is ‘Optimizing color & appearance by micronutrients’. It will present very practical key and innovative topics about this subject in vegetable and ornamental crops. As the webinar is broadcasted live, viewers will be able to ask questions, and receive an immediate response from the Haifa team.
Subjects to be discussed
The webinars are produced in a co-production with Wageningen University, the Netherlands, and will be delivered by Prof. Leo Marcelis, Head of chair group Horticulture and Product Physiology. The third webinar contains broad knowledge about optimizing color and appearance by micronutrients to assist growers, advisors, and horticulture professionals. Besides the broad knowledge Prof. Marcelis will also discuss very specific items such as:- Is more manganese supply a solution for manganese deficiency?
- How can the supply of a high concentration iron chelate still give iron deficiency (yellow young leaves)?
- What are the risks of using source water that contains a lot of organic material?
- How does the availability of micronutrients develop after disinfection measures in a recirculation system?
- What is the effect of UV light on the availability of chelates?
