"Monitoring growth tube next step in homogeneity greenhouse"

A steady greenhouse climate is a requirement for optimized cultivation, but it is often difficult to achieve. To get the climate in the greenhouse to be homogeneous, the current situation must first be made clear. Wireless Value now offers a system that allows the tube to be monitored.

Wireless Value is known for its AgriSensys system. Wireless sensors measure the humidity and temperature of the greenhouse, making clear how homogeneous the greenhouse actually is. But a lot more can be measured in the greenhouse, says Bas Visser, demonstrating the system at IPM Essen. Using sensors, Wireless Value now measures the temperature on the down tube in a section. "By doing this accurately, you can make clear what the climate computer is actually doing in the greenhouse."

On the Tuinbouw RelatieDagen, Wireless Value is poised to highlight several new systems.

The new measurement, according to Visser, is the next step in levelling the greenhouse climate. Meanwhile, several gerbera growers and a tomato grower have already been test-running the system. Like the other systems of the company, this new application is modular. "You can choose to first tackle the down tube, and then the growth tube. It is a new step in monitoring."

Visser recently spoke about the new applications of the sensors at the IPM in Essen. Wireless Value is also there showcasing the developments in the Healthy Greenhouse Project, an INTERREG project in collaboration with Wageningen UR.
