January 4 – 9 in Tucsom
US (AZ): Greenhouse tomato intensive course
The January 2015 Greenhouse Tomato Intensive Course will be held January 4 – 9 at the Controlled Environment Agriculture Center in Tucson. Led by Dr. Pat Rorabaugh of the CEAC, Tomato Intensive students will be presented materials from a full semester long course with the goal of teaching students to grow tomatoes hydroponically in a greenhouse. Attendees will spend a combination of time in lecture and doing hands-on work in the greenhouse. Other useful events include a special guest lecture on the current state of CEA by Tomato specialist Dr. Merle Jensen and a roundtable discussion with multiple greenhouse engineers to answer any engineering design questions.
Registration is still open for the Tomato Intensive, with a few spots still available. Be sure to sign up before time runs out!
