Quick Plug is once again in full swing after a devastating fire destroyed much of the Poeldijk operation earlier this year. The company has since moved to the nearby community of Monster. Quick Plug BV produces stabilized seeds and plug tools for professional horticulture. This November, it celebrates its 10-year anniversary.
Just when Quick Plug had its new Phalaenopsis plug extensively tested and patented, a fire broke out, laying waste to the production site. Partly thanks to the great effort put in by both suppliers and staff, the plant was up and running again in a period of just 11 weeks.
The patented Xcellent PlugĀ® is a stabilized rooting substrate for e.g. Orchids. The plugs have an optimal structure and shape and as a result of this, no root damage occurs. This provides a fast root establishment. The plugs can be 'tailor-made' with specific pH and EC levels. In addition, the physical properties of the plug can be adjusted to adapt to every irrigation system.
