US (CT): New Nexus Greenhouse at Sam Bridge in full production

As a result of the expansion at the family-owned business, Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses in Greenwich recently built a new facility. Two generations of Bridges built a new Nexus Greenhouse and is housing the new store, a new retail area, new growing range and a new potting area. Jeff Warschauer, VP of Sales at Nexus, submitted some pictures of the new greenhouses of Sam Bridge.

The new facility collects roof runoff which will be recirculated and then used for irrigation. Next to this the facility is more energy efficient; by applying zone heating (only areas where plants are located will be heated), heat curtains are used to retain heat at night and a new open roof in the greenhouse will eliminate the need for cooling fans.
