Downy mildew diseases, although sporadic, can seriously damage hebe, rose and several other major nursery stock and herbaceous perennial species. This fact sheet provides guidance on how to minimise losses by the use of clean stock plants, good nursery hygiene, avoiding favourable environmental conditions for disease development and by appropriate fungicide treatment.
