US: MOSES seeks organic farmer nominees

The Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) is seeking nominations for its Organic Farmer of the Year award.

The award, to be presented at the 26th annual MOSES Organic Farming Conference in La Crosse Feb. 26-28, recognizes an organic farmer or farm family with a history of outstanding land management, conservation and innovation

This is the 13th year for the award, which features a prize package that includes admission to the MOSES conference — the largest gathering of organic farmers in the nation — as well as a cash award, lodging and a bookstore gift certificate.

Nominations are open to the public, and forms are available on the MOSES website at mosesorganic.org or by calling the MOSES office in Spring Valley at 715-778-5775. Nomination deadline is Sept. 15.
