Singapore: Minister visits prototype indoor farm in Tagore Lane

Last Monday, Singapores Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan paid a visit to a factory unit in Tagore Lane which houses an indoor vegetable farm that grows crops with the help of Valoya wide spectrum LEDs. "Plants can grow and thrive anywhere, as long as they have air, light, water and minerals", stated the Minister on his Facebook page. "Still a prototype on a small scale, Mr Leo Lum is testing and perfecting the conditions for growing vegetables indoors. I'm heartened to know that more local businesses are seeing the potential urban farming. One day, we may be able to produce enough vegetables for our own consumption. I wish Mr Leo all the best!"
