Van der Lugt uses ISO Grade 7000:

Simple, high-tech solution for anyone that wants to optimize the grading process

An innovative grading solution, making uniform grading available to everyone with the use of robotics. A low investment and short pay-back time make this compact machine even more attractive. Dutch young plant propagator 'Plantenkwekerij van der Lugt' explains why they are so pleased with their choice for the Flier ISO Grade 7000.

Demand from the market

Over the past few years, there has been an increase in demand for a compact, scalable grading machine for young plants. Additional requirements were low investment, less maintenance costs, a shorter pay-back time and grading without the use of cups. A good challenge which was taken up by the ISO Group. After a period of development, the ISO Grade 7000 was brought onto the market.

No complex systems necessary

Until now, it was mostly complex systems that were available, in which plants were first transferred to cups and then distributed over the grading lanes. Investment in such systems is relatively high, often 200,000 to 300,000 Euro. With the ISO Grade 7000, a simple, high-tech solution is now available for anyone wanting to optimize the grading process.

Grading at an early stage

The ISO Grade 7000 enables young plants to be graded at an earlier stage. This produces better grading results, especially for plants which will subsequently be grafted. Enormous labour savings are also realized. Another advantage is that it is also possible to grade soil plugs. The machine has a capacity of up to 7,000 plugs an hour. However, if a higher capacity is required, more machines can be connected together.

Van der Lugt Nursery

Van der Lugt Nursery was one of the first buyers of the ISO Grade 7000, and is very satisfied with their choice. Ewald de Koning, production manager at Van der Lugt Nursery: "Never before have we taken delivery of a machine of this calibre that was operational within 1 hour! The machine is compact and the plants are transferred directly from tray to tray by a robot arm. This significantly reduces maintenance costs and the risk of disruptions. The ladies in the grafting department even specifically ask for plants which have been graded by the ISO Grade 7000, because these are more uniform and therefore easier to graft."
