France: Savéol's announce 7-8% growth for 2014

The Breton brand specialising in tomatoes (90% of volume produced) and strawberries (9%) explain their development plans. 2013 started well with a €164 million turnover. But Savéol does not intend to stop there. ''For 2014, we are aiming at a 7 - 8% growth'' announced Philippe Daré, President of Savéol.

For many years Savéol has helped set up young vegetable growers (130 have contracts with Savéol, with 2 -3 more each year). These new vegetable growers should help the cooperative develop in volume. Savéol has also helped to increase the size of many farms.

The cooperative launches new ranges and varieties of products as well as technical and environmental innovations. The latest products focused on the snack sector, notably with a shaker of cherry tomatoes- the ''Globe Trotteuse'' (Globe Trotter).

New advertising campaigns throughout the production season support new releases and must-have products.

The company has been exporting since the start of the 90's. Savéol counts on the international market in order to grow further. In 2013 they exported 11,000 tons of tomatoes, mainly in Europe. They are aiming at new markets including Austria, Russia and Poland (who they have exported to since 2012).
