The best of both worlds: a removable, diffuse and temperature reducing coating
A temperature reducing product like TransPAR is most effective in higher concentrations, when a great result in both a significant temperature reduction as diffusion of the light is obtained. A very common remark however is that too much light is being lost. In lower dilutions, there is more light available, but the diffuse effect is a lot lower, still risking damage to the plants such as scorching. “In the Netherlands, where no summer is the same and every year is highly unpredictable, one needs a product that offers both effect to its best” says Marcel Schoondergang, head of product development at Sudlac.
“Finding the right balance between diffusion and temperature reduction, has been a priority during the last year, to offer a grower the best of both worlds: a diffusing effect to create a homogeneous spread of the light, combined with a heat reflection without losing too much precious light, all at the same time.
Optifuse-IR is a newer form of our currently introduced removable diffusing coating OptiFuse. The letters IR refer to the limitation of the InfraRed rays, so the coating is also suitable for light demanding crops that require some temperature reduction. Thanks to the great sunny weather we have had in Europe the last few weeks, the demand for this product is big.”
